Taxotere nose bleeds

Taxotere nose bleeds, also known as docetaxel is one of the taxane drugs that were originally developed from the needles of a yew tree. It works by stopping cancerous cells from separating into 2 new cells, so blocking the growth of the cancer. Taxotere nose bleeds occur as a direct side effect of this form of treatment. Taxotere is a liquid that you have through a drip (infusion) into a vein (intravenously). Each infusions takes about an hour and you have one every 1 to 3 weeks, depending on the cancer you are being treated for. Steroid tablets are often given along side the taxotere, but unfortunately this doesn’t help the taxotere nose bleeds. In this case though, the unpleasantness of the taxotere nose bleeds are vastly outweighed by long term effect of the treatment and the discomfort experienced is negligible.
